Sevenukes Ukulele Orchestra are playing a free gig tomorrow night (Wednesday 9th) at the Zed Music Cafe. Doors at 7.00pm, music starting at half past. Great venue and its the last time we’ll be gigging there before it closes at the end of the month. Oh and there’s a bar. Come along and hear something truly different!

Sevenukes Branches Out
Good news!
As well as our main rehearsal on a Wednesday evening, from September we will be running a separate group on a Tuesday evenings (6.30-7.30pm) for people who are either just starting out, haven’t done much music before or just want to go at a more relaxed pace. We will cover different chords, strum patterns, a little fingerpicking and how to sing and play at the same time.
This group will even suit total beginners, so spread the word: There has never been a better time to take up the ukulele, the worlds most sociable instrument!
Have a nice summer,
James
Last weeks and this weeks stuff!
Hi gang,
Here’s what we looked at last week:
And for this week, I’d like you to listen to and have a go at:
(I will be handing out a slightly simplified version of Sunny Afternoon next week, so don’t fear if some of the chords in the one above are a little tricky!)
Meanwhile, please enjoy the following pictures from our last rehearsal:
See you soon!

Spring Term Rehearsal Dates
Hi all,
These are the dates of the remaining rehearsals for this term:
January: 28th
February: 4th, 11th, 25th
March: 11th, 18th, 25th.
n.b. I can’t make the 4th of March due to an exam and the 18th of Feb is half term (we can still do half terms if you like, just let me know).
If you let me know in the next week of a rehearsal that you know you cannot make, then you can knock it off your invoice. But only if I know well in advance! As of next term, I will ask you this before we actually start back.
Also, I am adding the option of paying on the door for each session, but it will be slightly more expensive (£9). This is for people who want to come along and have had their free taster, but cannot commit due to work/children.
As always, let me know if you have any questions,
James
See you all at our second ever-rehearsal tonight from 6!
Tabs for Sweet Home Alabama
